TYPICAL SYNTHETIC TURF SYSTEM USING OLIVE PIT INFILL

Olive pit infill is installed as part of a complete synthetic turf build-up, working alongside the turf fibre, shock pad, and sand infill to deliver a stable, high-performing playing surface. While every installation is tailored to the specific fibre type, shock pad, and infill rates required for the project, a typical synthetic turf system incorporating olive pit infill follows this configuration:

  • Fibre pile height: 45–50 mm
  • Shock pad thickness: 15–20 mm
  • Sand infill rate: 15–20 kg/m²
  • Olive pit infill rate: 5–6 kg/m²

This layered system — turf fibre over a cushioning shock pad, stabilised with sand and topped with olive pit granulate — is designed to optimise ball roll, foot stability, and shock absorption, while keeping the surface cooler and more environmentally sustainable than traditional rubber crumb systems.
