What are the benefits of rubber mulch?

EPDM mulch is safe, durable, comfortable and economical. Whilst natural bark mulch and wood chips hold dirt, encourage insects and mould, are quick to rot, and leach dyed colour onto hard surfaces, Aloro’s rubber mulch eliminates these issues. Does rubber mulch stain clothes?

Is rubber mulch dangerous or toxic?

EPDM mulch is made from recycled crumb rubber sourced from waste tyres, creating a loose-fill form of rubber crumb surfacing. EPDM mulch does not give off unpleasant odours and does not pose a risk to human health.

Is rubber mulch safe for playgrounds​?

Along with its excellent durability against environmental factors, recycled crumb rubber offers a shock-absorbent surface that is comfortable and safe. How long does rubber mulch last?

EPDM mulch is a long-lasting alternative to pine bark, woodchip and other natural mulches which can be quick to break down and disintegrate. Depending on wear and tear, it can last 10 – 20 years and is resistant to environmental factors such as UV rays, fading and moisture. Shredded rubber mulch is a durable solution, however, as it is a loose-fill material, it may need some maintenance and refilling to maintain sufficient depth.
