Aloro Sport's DIY Pickleball Flooring Frequently Asked Questions

What separates Aloro Sport's DIY pickleball flooring from a regular pickleball court?

Regular pickleball courts use complex and messy liquid pour methods such as acrylic coatings that are applied over concrete. Whilst this creates a very smooth and uniform surface, it’s difficult to achieve this level of perfection in a home DIY setting. That’s why Aloro Sport has developed a simple to use pickleball flooring kit that doesn’t involve messy chemicals or complex application methods.

Do I need to hire someone to install Aloro Sport pickleball courts?

No - you can DIY! That’s the benefit of our easy to use pickleball tiles – using a click-together process, the tiles simply join neatly together like a jigsaw puzzle. As long as you begin with a very flat, graded surface, you can install the flooring yourself without having to pay for a specialist installation crew.

Can you play tennis on an Aloro Sport pickleball court?

Technically, you could play tennis on a pickleball court – but the court dimensions and requirements are quite different. A pickleball court measures 13.41 metres in length and 6.1 metres in width (for both singles and doubles play) whereas a tennis court is significantly bigger. If you’re looking to build a DIY tennis court at home, Aloro stocks a range of tennis court synthetic grass that is perfect for this purpose.
